1.To cultivate positive values into the English curriculum.

1.1 Integrate elements of ‘Moral and Civic Education’ across the curriculum and record in the scheme of work and lesson plans

1.2 Broadcast ‘Positive Values Channel’ at the class teacher period. Teachers have to choose class representatives to promote the target positive values ─ ‘Optimism’, ‘Empathy’, ‘Diligence’ and ‘Law-abidingness’.

1.3 Launch ‘LANGO STAR’ award scheme to promote diligence. Students with the highest participation rate in each class in using ‘LANGO’ will be awarded.

1.4 Conduct writing competitions on target positive values ─ ‘Optimism’, ‘Empathy’, ‘Diligence’ and ‘Law-abidingness’ during long holidays.

2.To enhance students’ self-learning skills and teaching effectiveness through blended learning

2.1 Design at least 1 e-learning package which includes relevant e-resources like video clips, e-learning apps and online learning exercises in each level in each term.

2.2 Assign at least 1 e-learning package through Google Classroom in each level in each term to foster students’ self-learning.

2.3 A professional development workshop on blended learning will be conducted to English teachers to enhance teachers’ teaching effectiveness.

2.4 Establish a sharing culture for teachers to share good teaching practices, e.g. preparatory work or collaborative teaching, and teaching and learning resources during the co-planning meetings and panel meetings.

3.To broaden students’ horizons through various English learning opportunities.

3.1 Deploy NET in all levels to conduct various speaking and writing activities which aim at developing students’ confidence in speaking and writing.

3.2 Organize after-school activities including debate class and international English exam courses (Cambridge and Trinity Exams) to broaden students’ horizons.

3.3 Create an English rich environment through board display, English broadcast (Positive Values Channel) and English Day to encourage students to communicate in English.

3.4 Integrate the e-learning platform ‘LANGO’ into the school-based curriculum to enhance students’ speaking skills. Students will practise using the target sentence patterns with the app.
